I was in the same boat recently, wanting more control over my WhatsApp without compromising on security. After a bit of searching, I found a version on https://gb-apps.org that has exactly those features. It lets you customize everything from the look to specific privacy settings. For example, you can hide your “typing” and “online” status for selected contacts only. Plus, there’s a big library of themes, so you’re not stuck with the default WhatsApp look! Just remember to follow the installation steps carefully, as it’s a third-party app, and they explain everything in detail.
